A Sacrifice For Me
Contributor Two Contributor Two
Christmas means more to me each year as I grow in Jesus and meditate on His unfailing love. I wrote these song lyrics in honor of God’s amazing sacrifice.
Merry Christmas to all of you.

A SACRIFICE FOR ME
In a manger lay the lamb,
Spotless and pure.
The joy of heaven humbly came
That man may know the truth.
And swaddled there in ragged cloth,
Lowly and meek
Was the Father’s gift of love,
A sacrifice for me.

“Glory!” the angels sang.
A child is born in Bethlehem.
His name is called Immanuel;
God with man shall dwell.
Let us now adore the king
Who lives and reigns eternally.
Worthy is the lamb once slain,
A sacrifice for me.

From Bethlehem to Calvary’s hill
No blemish marred the lamb,
He sought to do the Father’s will
And proved His love for man.
A crown of thorns stained with blood
Mocked His majesty.
In death He was the gift of love,
A sacrifice for me.
