Fanny J. Crosby was one of the most prolific American hymnists in history, writing over 8,000 hymns and gospel songs, with over one million copies printed, despite being blind from shortly after birth. Known as the "Queen of Gospel Songwriters," with most American hymnals containing her work, she has been represented by the largest number of hymns of any writer of the 20th century.

Now, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound pay tribute to Crosby with their latest album, The Favorite Hymns of Fanny Crosby. With many churches moving away from singing hymns as often, the guys hope to keep the songs of this legendary writer alive and well. Ernie comments, “I hope that these timeless songs of Fanny Crosby find a new generation of listeners while appealing to the hymn-singing generation that I was raised in.”

Ernie, Devin, Dustin and Paul put their own stamp on these classic songs with their smooth harmonies and modern, roots-styled arrangements, and listeners will enjoy singing along with "He Hideth My Soul,” “Blessed Assurance,” “Pass Me Not, O Gentle Saviour” and others.

The Favorite Hymns of Fanny Crosby will release on May 6th, 2016. It is available for preorder at and will also be sold through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other outlets.
