And of course, 80-years-young Bill Gaither was in the middle of it all, directing, encouraging, laughing and singing along. The atmosphere was charged with joy and praise as we raised voices and hearts together, singing songs old and new to the wonderful God we serve.
This year's featured speaker was Rory Feek, who shared a portion of his life story as it will appear in his upcoming memoir, This Life I Live (to release on Valentine's Day 2017). He shared not about his well-documented life with his beloved wife Joey, who lost her life to cancer early this year, but about the challenges he and his family faced as he was growing up, and how the Lord used all of that to shape who he is today.
