Gaither Fest Photo Roundup

We had another terrific Gaither Fest at Myrtle Beach in October 2015, and we've got the pics to prove it! The weather was a little sunny and a little rainy, but the clouds didn't dampen the enthusiasm from the artists or the audience inside the Sheraton Convention Center. We sang along with the Gaither Vocal Band, the Martins, Charlotte Ritchie, Guy Penrod, Angie Primm, the Nelons, Russ Taff, the Isaacs, Gene McDonald, Buddy Greene, the Easters and more, and Mark Lowry even popped in for a quick visit.

Russ Taff was recovering from a much-needed knee replacement just a few weeks prior, but that didn't stop him from coming. Just before the trip, he tweeted, "Can't wait to try out my new knee in Myrtle Beach! Now if I can just get David Phelps to quit calling me a cyborg..."

Gloria Gaither introduced David Phelps and his daughter Maggie Beth to the stage to perform a duet called "Water," penned by Gloria and David and based on Jesus' encounter with the woman at the well. You've heard David hit those crazy high notes, and it must run in the family, as the song's climax features Maggie Beth up in the vocal stratosphere. That duet is also featured on David's latest DVD, Freedom.

Pastor and author Jim Lyon impacted hearts with a powerful message during the Saturday morning session, causing Gloria to have to wipe away a few tears before her book signing after the session. If you were there and were not able to get a copy of his new book, Jesus B., it is available here on Amazon.

Here are a few photos from this fun weekend, and we hope you'll join us there next time!
