You may remember hearing about the Songwriting Intensive weekend of workshops hosted by Gloria Gaither in 2011. Well, it was such a hit that she is hosting another one this year! For those who want to learn more about the craft of songwriting from an ASCAP Songwriter of the Century, the event will be held June 7-10, 2012 in Alexandria, Indiana. Workshop sessions will take place at Gaither Studios and Gaither Family Resources on the beautiful campus of Gaither Music Company.
Those who choose to attend this momentous event will delve deeply into subjects affecting the heart and craft of songwriters, including barriers to great writing, how to experience greater freedom in creating, the components that unite to make a great song, how to “get out of your own way” and listen to the ultimate Voice for inspiration and much more. Leading the workshops will be Gloria and other successful writers like Babbie Mason, Dony McGuire, Reba Rambo-McGuire and others.
Beginning on Thursday evening, there will be an informal time to enjoy refreshments and get acquainted with both the clinicians and fellow participants. Friday and Saturday will be packed with in-depth sessions drawing on the unique perspective of each clinician, and then the weekend will conclude Sunday with a final worship time together.
