The world was shocked by the death of actor/comedian Robin Williams and especially saddened by the circumstances surrounding the tragic event. Let us remember to pray for his family as they deal with their grief, and to reach out to those we know who may be suffering from depression. Here are the thoughts shared by a few Homecoming artists and friends:

Janet Paschal: Today's proverb makes me think of Robin Williams: Proverbs 14:13 "Even in laughter the heart may ache, and joy may end in grief."

Sheila Walsh: It breaks my heart when someone who has bravely fought depression for years just can't do it one more day.

Amber Nelon Thompson: Because of my love for Disney, I will always remember him as the voice of the genie in Aladdin. He brought many laughs to my face as a child. His childlike sense of humor will be missed greatly by kids everywhere.

T.D. Jakes: We mourn the loss of Robin Williams. Our prayers are with his family & friends.

Tullian Tchividjian ‏(grandson of Billy Graham): Very sad to hear of the apparent suicide of Robin Williams. The brokenness of our world breaks my heart.

Kenny Rogers: I never met him — but I felt like I knew him... That, I think, was his greatest gift to all of us. He will be missed, more than I guess he knew. We miss you, Robin Williams.
