Are you caught up in the rush-and-crush of the Christmas season, or have you had time to savor the moments? Or are you perhaps going through a hard time right now and waiting to see how God will answer your prayers? We had a wonderful interview with pastor Louie Giglio recently ... he talked about his new devotional book (which is great), but mostly he talked about his desire to remind people that even when we can't see it, God is always at work. He reminds that Jesus' birth happened following 400 years of silence. After the last words of Malachi, we have no more prophecies for roughly four centuries, until John the Baptist. That's a long time of waiting! But God was faithful to keep His promises then, and He remains faithful today. Let us take heart as we wait.

A thought from the Word...

Psalm 130:5
I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.

The beautiful song "Mary, Did You Know?" written by Mark Lowry and Buddy Greene, has been recorded by everyone from the GVB to Reba McEntire to rapper Cee Lo Green. We're excited to hear that country artist Hunter Hayes will perform it at the "Christmas in Washington" concert this year, which will air on TNT on Dec. 19 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). Also, the pop group Pentatonix has just recorded it on their Christmas album, and you can now hear their amazing a cappella version on YouTube ... worth a listen!
Angela Primm is well known from Homecoming concerts and videos for her sweet spirit and POWERFUL voice, and she has just released a brand-new album that honors the music of Mahalia Jackson. Read all about it here, and enjoy a little video clip of Mark Lowry singing along with Angie during a break from recording.
