A few years ago, for fun, I made an online collage of photos that represent my father, reflecting his personality and some of his diverse interests—photos of a guitar, a cross, chocolate-chip cookies (he bakes the best!), a double helix (he’s a retired science teacher), cufflinks that look like little saws, crossword puzzles, sports and several more. Although I just gave him a simple paper printout, he was so touched by it. I think it was because he realized I knew him and noticed his interests.

I was thinking today … our Heavenly Father is like that, too. He knows us so well, and He wants for us to know Him. It must bring Him joy when we notice and appreciate the things He likes. As we celebrate our earthly fathers and grandfathers this weekend, let’s take some time to get to know our Heavenly Father even better, too.
