Prayer is on my heart today ... what a privilege it is to pray, knowing that our God is already aware of all that is in our hearts and minds, but it brings Him joy when we talk with Him and share our praises and burdens. He longs to hear the voices of His children! Blessings to all of you this week, and may He answer your prayers as you earnestly seek Him.

A thought from the Word...

Psalm 145:18
The LORD is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.

You'll remember that multi-talented Homecoming friend Karen Peck had her first film role in the movie "Joyful Noise" starring Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton. Bill and Gloria have just returned from the latest Gaither Homecoming cruise, which visited ports in New England and Canada. We are sad to hear that our dear friend Mary Tom Speer Reid, of the Speer Family, has passed away today of natural causes. You can read more about her life here, and please remember to keep the Speer and Reid families in your prayers as they grieve the loss of this precious lady. Mary Tom was 89 years old.
The Southern gospel trio Sisters has taken a slightly different direction with their most recent CD, Atmosphere. On this album, the talented ladies lend their harmonies to popular contemporary worship songs including "This Is Amazing Grace," "Worthy Is the Lamb" and others. This would make a great gift for worship music fans in your family! To read more and hear a preview, click here.
We hear that a wonderful time was had by all at Loretta Lynn's Gospel Music Festival held this past weekend, featuring Jason Crabb, the Hoppers, the Booth Brothers, Karen Peck & New River, Aaron Wilburn, Brian Free & Assurance, the Sneed Family and many more terrific performers. Sadly, Miss Loretta herself was unable to appear, due to illness. We know she was dearly missed by her fans, and we are praying for a quick recovery! The Hoppers have shared some great photos here on their Facebook page, and info about future events should be available soon at
