How does the Bible impact you in the midst of your day to day activities? When you are in traffic, at the grocery store, taking care of children or grandchildren, pulling weeds, suffering with an illness...does a scripture verse suddenly run through your mind? What a blessing it is to have the Word in us, with its (with His) renewing and transforming power. What a comfort to know that God has provided His love letter to us, with guidance for our every problem.

And on the topic of the Bible, we have a question for you to answer: Other than Jesus, whom we all look forward to meeting face to face, which person from the Bible would you most like to meet, and why? To give your answer, just post a comment on our website by clicking here!

A thought from the Word....

Colossians 3:16

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Last week, a few of the Homecoming staffers were invited to view a screening with highlights of the upcoming epic miniseries, "The Bible." And, wow! Producers and spouses Mark Burnett and Roma Downey have really brought familiar Bible stories and characters to life in a fresh way onscreen. They are excited about spreading the Good News to a larger community, and they spoke with us briefly about that. You can see that video and view the trailer of "The Bible" by clicking here!
You may have seen Courtney Collingsworth Metz singing and playing violin with the Collingsworth Family, but there's more to her than just a beautiful voice! We had the opportunity to ask her five questions recently, and we think you'll enjoy getting to know a little more about this sweet young lady. Click to read that interview and see a video of the Collingsworth siblings singing by clicking here.

Libbi Stuffle of the Perrys is requesting prayer for her husband Tracy, who was taken to the emergency room Tuesday morning (today) after he suffered a stroke and had a traffic accident. Libbi posted this earlier today: "The stroke is not from a clot but from bleeding. He has no movement on the right side. His speech you cannot understand. He, however, does understand us. He's in ICU and will be here several days. He will have another CT this morning around 8am or a little after. Here's what I am BEGGING you to help me pray: that the bleeding stops and his brain doesn't swell any more than what it is. He has minimal swelling now. And pray God will restore him 100%." For more information, visit the Perrys' Facebook page by clicking here. Let's all lift this family up to the Father!
