Happy New Year, everyone! How have you spent the first few days of this year? How do you plan to spend the rest of them? May God light your path as you trust Him on this journey.

A thought from the Word...

Colossians 3:17

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Those who know Lou Wills Hildreth are familiar with her bright smile, her encouraging words and her passion for gospel music. She was recently honored with a tribute concert during the Creekside Gospel Music Convention celebrating her amazing 75 years in the industry, as we covered in the Jan/Feb issue of Homecoming. We also spoke with "Ms. Lou" about her career, family, faith and long-time friendship with the Gaithers. You can read all about it here.
Our own Kevin Williams is known for his excellent musicianship, his lightning-quick wit and his ability to make up hilarious definitions for really long words at the drop of a hat (more about that here.) But we found out even more about Kevin in a recent "Five Questions" interview, and you can click here to enjoy that!
We're so excited that January marks Homecoming Magazine's 10-year anniversary, and we're also jumping for joy that you helped us reach our goal of 10,000 Facebook fans by Jan. 1st! The All-Day Giveaway in December was such fun that we're having another one to celebrate...the All-Day Giveaway Replay. We'll give away fabulous prizes including CDs, DVDs and books from your favorite Homecoming artists and authors. It will begin at 9 a.m. Central Time on Friday, January 11th, and you can read all about it here!
For our Mar./Apr. issue of Homecoming, we're exploring the contrast between art and argument; that is, how creative works--books, movies, songs, paintings, plays, poetry and so forth--can sometimes communicate truth and love to our hearts and minds even more effectively than someone simply trying to argue the point to us. We'd love to hear your thoughts on the subject, so please click here to answer our latest question! Your answer could even be chosen for our "Views from You" segment in the next issue!
