Hello, Homecoming family! How are you faring during this hot summer? I hope you have all found a way to stay cool and enjoy this season.  For a refreshing treat, make homemade fruit popsicles by filling popsicle molds or small cups with fresh fruit, either diced or blended. You can add a little of your favorite juice and then just insert craft sticks, freeze and enjoy!

A thought from the Word...

Jeremiah 17:7-8

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is in the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit. (NKJV)

We were sad to learn that Tracy Richardson, who was a drummer for the early Hinsons and also Michael English, passed away on July 8th due to a rare blood disease called amyloidosis.  According to his Facebook page, he began noticing symptoms last fall and was diagnosed around March. Please pray for his family and friends.
There are some great CDs coming out this month!  Here are a few that you may want to pick up for yourself or for a gift: Songs I Grew Up Singing by Gordon Mote, July 17 (New Haven/Provident/Integrity); Top Twelve Southern Gospel Songs of 2012, July 31 (New Haven/Provident/Integrity); and 'Til the Storm Passes By by Lynda Randle,  July 31 (Gaither Music Group/EMI CMG).
