Hello again! How was everyone's 4th of July? We had a rainy one in Nashville, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the holiday.

If you are not following Homecoming Magazine on Facebook and Twitter, you may want to start...we'll be holding a huge all-day giveaway in August, and we'll get the word out primarily through Facebook and Twitter. We'll be giving away CDs, books, DVDs and more, so don't miss it!

And just because we're curious, we'd love to know this...If you could sit down to dinner with one member of the Gaither Vocal Band, who would it be, and why? Just click here to answer!

A thought from the Word...

Psalm 113:3
From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.

Our friends the Isaacs recently made a splash at the Grand Ole Opry, performing songs from their upcoming album, The Living Years. The audience loved them, and the Isaacs enjoyed visiting with Carrie Underwood and The Band Perry, as well as all the wonderful Opry regulars... read all about it here! We'd also like to wish Lily's mother Faye a happy birthday! A survivor of Nazi concentration camps during World War II, this amazing lady is now celebrating her 94th year!
Please remember in your prayers Opry legend Little Jimmy Dickens. Dickens, now 92, is undergoing short-term radiation treatments for a precancerous condition on his vocal cords. He received a crate of cards and letters this past weekend from fans concerned about his condition (pictured at left, photo courtesy of the Grand Ole Opry). For more information, click here. Also needing prayer is country superstar Randy Travis, who has just undergone heart surgery after being admitted to a Texas hospital on Sunday in critical condition. The singer is suffering from complications of viral cardiomyopathy, a weakening of the heart muscles caused by a viral infection.
A favorite for summertime cookouts is the good ol' grilled hamburger, and every "grillmaster" we've ever met has their own special way to fix them. Bill and Gloria's son Benjy Gaither shares his own recipe for mouth-watering grilled burgers here. Enjoy, and please pass the ketchup!
There are several wonderful new releases coming from the Homecoming crowd during this summer and the fall, and we thought you might like to hear about them! Click here to read about exciting projects from the Oak Ridge Boys, Joey & Rory, the Isaacs and more!
