Well, another year of NQC has come and gone ... what a whirlwind! A week of meeting friends, snapping photos, chasing down artists for interviews and, of course, listening to fantastic music! This editor would like a little rest, but there's still the next issue of Homecoming Magazine to finish. So we'll press on for you, dear friends! If you were one of the thousands attending the convention this year, I hope you've been able to find some time to rest yourself!

A thought from the Word...

Psalm 62:5-6
Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.

It was bittersweet for many to attend the last NQC to be held in Louisville, Ky., but we sure hope to see you next year in Pigeon Forge! One of the highlights of the week was the 2nd Annual NQC Music Awards on Friday, and in case you missed it, we have the list of this year's winners here for you. We also have some fun photos of the Gaither Vocal Band during their showstopping performance Friday night, and you can take a look at those on our Facebook page.
Please remember in prayer Lynda Randle, her brother Michael Tait (from the Newsboys) and the rest of their family as they grieve the loss of Lynda's mother Maxine Tait, who passed away this past Thursday night. Lynda had some poignant thoughts to share, and you can read about that here.
If you've been eagerly awaiting the release of the Women of Homecoming DVDs and CDs, your wait is over! While the official release date is September 24, the entire set is now available here on the Gaither Music website to order! This is a fantastic collection of music (77 songs!), memories, laughter and touching moments shared with more than 80 of your favorite Homecoming ladies and some new friends. One precious moment was when Charlotte Ritchie sang "My Father's Angels" with her adorable daughter Jayna, and Gaither.com shares that footage here. This set would make a great Christmas present for any Gaither fan!
Who is planning to be at the Gaither Fall Festival this year? Held October 4-6 at Gaither Family Resources in Alexandria, Ind., it will be a fun-filled weekend featuring a bus tour of the Gaithers' hometown, the Gaither Car Show (read more about the car show here!), craft vendors of all kinds, delicious food and of course, some terrific concerts! Artists scheduled for this year include Guy Penrod, Jeff & Sheri Easter, The Nelons, Gordon Mote, the Browns, Reggie & Ladye Love Smith, Woody Wright and more! For more info, just click here!
We hope you are enjoying these newsletters, and we hope you'll pass them on to friends and family who might also enjoy reading the latest Homecoming happenings. They can sign up here to receive it themselves! And don't forget, you can order (or renew) subscriptions to the print and digital versions of Homecoming Magazine here!
