Something beautiful, something good ... Some Homecoming staffers celebrated September's onset by attending the "Something Beautiful" conference in Nashville. It was such a sweet time of fellowship and song, and we'll tell you more about that below!

The central message of the song "Something Beautiful" is, of course, the transforming power of Jesus to turn something broken into something beautiful. If you have a moment, click here to tell us about a time when the Lord has done "something beautiful" in your life.

Thank you to everyone who entered last Friday's "All-Day Giveaway"! We will be picking winners this week and will reveal the winner's list on our website and on Facebook by no later than Friday. We had a great time with it, and we hope you did too! We'll be giving away more great prizes this fall, and you can stay informed through this newsletter and our Facebook page.

A thought from the Word...

2 Corinthians 3:18
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being tranformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

We were excited to attend last weekend's "Something Beautiful" women's conference, hosted by Melissa Brady in Nashville, Tenn., and featuring guests including Gloria Gaither, the Booth Brothers, Chonda Pierce and more. Melissa's husband Jim Brady told us that planning this conference has taken nearly a year of hard work, and if you were one of the lucky ladies to attend, you know that all of the effort was certainly worth it! Great news for DISH network viewers who love the Gaithers! Beginning September 16, DISH will begin airing 24-hour-a-day Gaither programming on channel 255! Because of the number of viewers for previous Gaither marathons on DISH, they decided to make the inspirational programming available around the clock. Click here for more details!
Are you one of the millions who saw and loved the movie The Ultimate Gift? If so, then you'll want to check out the new film based on Jim Stovall's next book, The Ultimate Life, appearing in theaters on September 6! It continues the story of Jason Stevens, the formerly spoiled trust fund baby from the first movie, who faces new challenges and looks to the past for inspiration. Allison Speer invites everyone to join her during the taping of her very first comedy DVD, Woo-Hoo, What a Ride! Admission is free for this event, which will take place September 19 at River of Life Church in Smyrna, Tennessee. Sounds like a great time, and we hope some of you will be able to make it!
