My 9-year-old daughter Chloe has a condition called arthrogryposis, which causes muscle weakness and limited range of motion in her joints. Despite having to use a wheelchair for mobility, she is a “can-do” kid who never lets anything stop her. Chloe is a social butterfly, straight-A student and Girl Scout who sings in school and church choirs and participates in drama at church. She received a teddy bear for Christmas that played the Gaither song, “I Am a Promise,” and loved it so much that her grandmother wrote to Gloria Gaither to say what a blessing it was. Gloria was so kind as to send us the CD, I Am a Promise, which Chloe listens to each night as she goes to sleep. She truly embodies the phrase, “I am a promise to be anything God wants me to be.” (Pictured here is Chloe and her sister Cassidy enjoying an Easter egg hunt.)
