Southern Gospel singer/songwriter Jim Brady will soon receive a very special honor from his home state of Texas. On Saturday, November 7, he will be among a select group to be inducted into the Texas Gospel Music Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame's chairman of the board, Tom Ellis, calls Jim "a real Texas gospel music hero."

Jim will be inducted with seven other notable Texans including Art Greenhaw, Mickey Vaughn, Jerry Oliver, Wayne Christian, the Bob Wills Family and, posthumously, Larry Randall and Pat Hoffmaster.

The Jim Brady Trio will perform at the induction concert, with additional performances by the Singing Christians/Mercy River Boys, Art Greenhaw and the Light Crust Doughboys, and the Bob Wills Family Singers.

The ceremony and concert will take place at Dallas Baptist University, at 6:30 p.m. on November 7. Visit tgmhf.org for ticket information.
