But with that being said, it seems like just yesterday when I was busy learning songs, lines and dance moves. I forgot how much fun fi lming these videos were. The camaraderie that we all shared was by far the best part of those videos. We stayed up late, woke up before the sun and had a blast.
It’s crazy to think that I still keep in touch with some of the friends I made while filming these videos. Jasmine Christmas Brady and I were even in the Voices Of Lee for a short time together at Lee University. Such a small world!
The last video that I did was God’s Zoo (my personal favorite) and, at the time, I was 11. Since then, a lot has changed. I graduated high school in 2007 and went to Lee in Cleveland, Tennessee. While at Lee, I was a part of the Voices of Lee for a short time, then had the wonderful opportunity to sing and travel with the Lee University Singers. I graduated in July of 2011 with a degree in Communication and an emphasis in Journalism.
In April of this year, I underwent heart surgery to help stabilize a genetic heart condition that I’ve had my entire life. I had a pacemaker and defibrillator placed; rare for someone my age, but everything went swimmingly. It was fun being a novelty on the cardiac floor of the hospital!
I recently made a huge adjustment to my life by moving from my beloved home of Brentwood, Tenn., to Pace, Florida. I work at the best church in the world, Pace Assembly of God, and am the assistant to Pastor Joey Rogers and First Lady Rita Rogers. I have been truly blessed to work for such wonderful, godly infl uences and to call this wonderful church my home. In my spare time, I write a fashion blog, shop and sing whenever I get the chance!
Another thing that changed since the last video? I got my braces off (finally) and I have MUCH better taste in clothes.
