In January, the Annie Moses Band made its Carnegie Hall debut, accompanied by the True North Symphony Orchestra, the New American Chorus and students from the band’s Fine Arts Summer Academy. The band is comprised of members of the Wolaver family — the band gets its name from the Wolaver children’s great-grandmother — who wowed the audience with their immense musical range. The concert featured a variety of styles, from country/ bluegrass (“Trail Mix”) to American spirituals (“O Freedom”) to their trademark blend of pop, jazz and classical (“Glory Giver”). The show brought the audience to its feet more than once!
