About Reba and Solveig:
Reba Rambo-McGuire is a Grammy and Dove Award-winning singer, songwriter, author, minister and teacher. At the age of 13, Reba began traveling with her parents, Buck and Dottie Rambo, in the legendary Southern Gospel group the Rambos. Known for their innovative style of inverted, three-part harmony, the Rambos were one of the most successful Gospel trios of the 20th century.
Reba then began a successful solo career in contemporary Christian music, garnering Dove Awards and Grammy nominations in a trailblazing genre that merged Christian lyrics with modern styles of music. She won her first Dove Award for Pop/Contemporary Album of theYear with her project Lady. One of the major highlights of her career came when Reba and her husband Dony McGuire joined forces as Rambo McGuire and collaborated in writing a concept album, The Lord’s Prayer. The album won them a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year as well as a Dove Award for Worship Album of the Year. In 2001, Reba was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame along with her parents as members of the Rambos and today Reba carries on her family’s rich musical heritage through her family group, Rambo McGuire. They’ve recently released a Dove Award-winning recording titled Grassroots Rambos, celebrating the timeless songs of her mother, Dottie.
Dove Award-winning recording artist Solveig Leithaug is an internationally loved singer-songwriter and masterful guitar player. Her gentle-yet-powerful gift for writing and communicating a song catches listeners by surprise and invites them into the joys and challenges that have refined her artistically and and spiritually. With 14 solo recordings, including her newest release, Finding Home, and three bestselling children’s CDs to her credit, Solveig consistently breaks new ground with each release. She has served as a guest artist at official Parliament functions, national and international conferences and television broadcasts, cathedrals, prisons and inner-city outreach events. She has also been featured on the Billboard chart-topping Gaither Homecoming video series. Gloria Gaither comments on Solveig’s ministry: “Listening to Solveig singing is like the pure vibrations of an innocent soul. She bypasses our cynical scar tissue and stylistic prejudices and goes—like the laughter of a child—straight to the heart.”
