My sweet mother passed away this morning at 4:00 AM with her family at her bedside. She's better now.
On Sunday, October 11, Brian Speer shared that his mother, Faye Speer, was nearing the end of her earthly life. Here was that post:
I have a dear friend named John Mulder who is a medical doctor specializing in end-of-life medicine. I texted him yesterday that we were just waiting on God to decide He was ready to take my sweet mom to Heaven. He responded that God has already decided but that He and Faye were in discussion about the specific timing. I can only imagine her end of that conversation! We had a sweet church service around her bedside this morning. Marc had his guitar and we sang "Sweeter Each Day," "Amazing Grace" and "I'd Rather Have Jesus." Using oil given to us by our friend, Michelle Darling, Marc anointed her head, Suzan and I her hands, and Joyce and Allison her feet. Then Allison read the 23rd Psalm, "Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me." God's presence was sweet and precious in that room. Thank you for your continued prayers for her and us.
Prayers are appreciated for Brian, Allison and other family members as they grieve the loss of this dear lady.
