If you have seen Jason Crabb’s powerful video, “Love is Stronger,” you probably noticed his cute blonde co-star, Ashley DeRamus. Among her many achievements, this young woman has spoken at the United Nations, won more than 40 medals for swimming and has even teamed with her mom to launch her own fashion line. Ashley has Down syndrome, but this lifelong Southern Gospel fan has never let that stop her from pursuing her dreams, and being a part of the “Love is Stronger” video was a dream come true. “I first met Jason when the Crabb family came to our church. During the concert that night, Jason let me sing ‘Through the Fire’ with him. We have been friends ever since.”
Ashley also considered it an honor to co-star alongside Jack Morgan, a real-life veteran and hero, and she feels that the song “Love is Stronger” supports her own life’s motto: “Don’t let anyone tell you what you can’t do, show them what you can do!” For our complete interview with Ashley, visit homecomingmagazine.com/ashley and learn more at ashleyderamusfoundation.org.
