Did you know that accomplished vocalist Ann Downing is also a published author? Her book, Skidmarks on the Road of Life (LifeBridge Books), tells just as much about the faithfulness and love of God as the music she has sung all her life. Filled with personal accounts of tragedy and triumph, Downing shares how God has used her circumstances to effect change in her own life and the lives of others.

“Looking back, I discovered that I could see how God worked through every situation to lead me to my next destination. All the while, He used even my mistakes and bad decisions to help get me where I was supposed to be. My prayer for Skidmarks on the Road of Life is that it will be a tool that encourages others to look down memory lane and see where God has done the same work in their own lives,” she says. Another recent career highlight for Downing came during the weekend of the 21st Annual Middle Tennessee Women’s Retreat, which she hosts. Governor Bill Haslam of Tennessee declared April 14th to be “Ann Downing Ministries Day,” citing the valuable contributions of her ministry and her honorable representation of the state of Tennessee across the globe.
