Starting Off On The Wrong Foot
Contributor Two Contributor Two
My sister, the mother of four very active boys under the age of 5, was frantically trying to get breakfast fed, dinner started and everyone ready for Sunday School. Her 3-year-old was sitting on the floor putting on his shoes. She passed by him and said “Karl, you’re putting your shoes on the wrong feet.” She soon passed him again and said, “Karl, I said put your shoes on the other feet!” After doing this several times, she became more insistent. Finally, she walked by and Karl was crying. “What is it now?” she asked the heartbroken little boy. “Momma,” he said, tearfully, “I don’t got no nother feet.” Needless to say, she felt guilty, but they all made it to church on time and she learned a valuable lesson about not getting so frustrated with little boys!
