The two have enjoyed a special courtship after meeting at a Perrys’ concert. The Perrys have ministered annually in Decatur, Mississippi, at Salem Baptist Church, which is Lindsey’s home church.
Jared will continue in his role of singing bass for the Perrys. Lindsey is a licensed funeral director in Tennessee and Mississippi and is employed by the Spring Hill Mortuary in Nashville, Tennessee. The couple will make their home in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
Libbi says, “We welcome Lindsey to our family. Her sweet spirit complements Jared’s and I’m happy to have a new daughter-in-love. Advice for marriage? Seek God for guidance, wisdom and knowledge; He will direct you. Stay in church; grow in God's word! When hard times come, and they will come, hold on to each other and to God as tight as you can! Don't turn loose! Always keep God the center of your family!”
The wedding celebration is especially joyful for the Perrys, as they have suffered many challenges over the past few years. Jared’s father Tracy has overcome enormous struggles after a life-altering series of debilitating strokes and other major medical complications. He was admitted to the hospital on Thursday, May 26th with a urinary tract infection and heart issues. Sadly, he was unable to attend the wedding on Saturday, but they brought the wedding to him after the big event with a small ceremony in his hospital room. Please continue to keep Tracy and the family in your prayers.
