Since 1997, the Children’s Heart Project (CHP) has arranged lifesaving operations for more than 800 children from Bosnia, Kosovo, Honduras, Uganda, Mongolia and Bolivia. Graham Lynch documents the journey of three children traveling from the deserts of Mongolia to San Antonio, Texas, to receive open-heart surgery unavailable in their home country. Two host families in Texas take the mothers and children into their homes, while a team of doctors and nurses volunteer their time, trying to save these three young hearts.
