She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harold Lovelace; three children; Pamela Lovelace of Montgomery, Ala.; Tim Lovelace and his wife Mary Alice of Jacksboro, Tenn.; and Tammy Lovelace of Saraland, Ala.; three grandchildren, Jeremy Sexton, Gabrielle Rose Lovelace and Gracie Lovelace; and several great-grandchildren.
Tim made this statement on the Singing News website:
"I want to first thank everyone for the prayers, numerous emails and calls we have received. The outpouring of love has been overwhelming and has greatly ministered to us. My mom is going to be greatly missed. She influenced my life in so many ways. She and Dad were great singers and musicians, and their music molded me. They traveled from coast to coast in the U.S. and into Canada during the early '50s. When Mom told stories from the road about how God had moved in particular services, those stories became a part of my fabric.
"My mother was also a great sight-reader. She loved shape-note singing and played the accordion and piano with a special touch. Mom was an excellent communicator from the stage. She had a way of telling stories that made everyone listen—I mean everyone. I will miss her telling a story from the Bible and bringing it to life. I will miss sitting at the kitchen table and sharing a cup of coffee and hearing her laugh. I will miss hearing her read Robert Frost out loud on a rainy day...
"Please remember my dad in your prayers. He is going to greatly miss his 'pretty girl' until they are reunited in Heaven."
